ANTAL BLOCKS AND SHEAVES

The Antal range of blocks range from sheave sizes of 30mm to 234mm and are constructed of aluminium and high spec materials. The sheaves run on a combination of HS fibre centre bearing and ball bearings for side loadings. This comprehensive range includes cheek block, snatch blocks, tulip sheaves and eyebolt blocks

Modular Blocks

Modular Series Block is a unique range of blocks where each model in this series is constructed with modular components and can be easily dismantled and transformed with just a screwdriver:

  • a triple block turns into two singles;
  • a swivel coupling becomes fixed;
  • a runner block is connected to an eyebolt;
  • a cam cleat can be added or removed.

C Fibre

Composite Fibre Series, made from the use of computerised technologies, new and sophisticated materials and over ten years of experience in the construction of blocks. The resulting product has an unrivalled performance/weight ratio, very high sliding coefficients and excellent long-term wear resistance.

Snatch Blocks come in four sizes from tweaker application to 120mm sheave models. They all have a cheek plate that revolves around the sheave axle allowing the block to open; a safety pin, which engages automatically on closing stops the block from opening accidentally. The block can be attached with webbing or Kevlar / Spectra.

Clew Blocks offer a solution designed to solve the connection of a sheave to the furling mainsail clew efficiently.
The block is contained within the size of the sail, thus allowing a larger surface of the mainsail to be used.
The choice of materials guarantees the lowest weight as well as a very good mechanical resistance to the environment.

Reef Block are connected to the leech of the mainsail with webbing, and reduce point loading on the mainsail when reefing. The small diameter sheaves are suitable to very high loads.
The centre hole can be used as a safety connection to the boom when reefed.
The small version (D=60 mm) is for boats to 60 ft, medium (D=70 mm) for boats 75 ft and larger (D=100 mm) for boats to 90 ft. Now available is a 50mm sheave for boats under 60 foot

Tulip Series sheaves are fixed sheaves that do not turn in the direction of manoeuvres since they accept quite different lead angles.
The choice of a Tulip sheave instead of a revolving block comes from the need to reduce bulk and weight.
